I keep seeing people post that they've tried to "contact the placer"
but have not received a response. This makes me feel for those people
because clearly this can be very frustrating.... [in fact I often
felt I was being ignored:( ].. Last I heard, that particular
feature on the LBNA was not working, but there was hope that it would
be up and running soon. Any news on this yet? It's such a valuable
and necessary tool!

I always contact the placer when I visit a letterbox. I wondered why
I hadn't heard back; now I see that my messages may have been lost in
cyberspace. Newbie error.
I'd like to post the boxes I've visited that are in need of more or
less maintenance here on the open list. (I'll spare you my cheery
greetings to those whose boxes are in good shape). All of these boxes
are in southern Wisconsin or Northern Illinois, visited in the last
two weeks.
The Dragon - Estabrook #2 - missing
Moofie & Blaze, adoptive parents for Bob Birkie's Boyhood Adventures
#2 - Only four pages left in logbook, box was wet inside but contents
not damaged recently; put everything in a new Ziploc for insurance
Matt the Rat - Dead River - minor problem, stamp separated from block
Baby Bird's Dad - The Flower - Water damage to logbook; replaced
Ziploc but pages still very slightly moist
I'd like to thank the list members for all of their postings on
re-hiding LBs and LB etiquette. You've inspired me to carry paper
towels for drying damp boxes and new Ziplocs to replace nibbled
baggies. Next time out, I'll carry spare logbooks to add to those
that are running out.

Thanks for the update on Boyhood Adventures#2. That was the one we had not
been out to check up on yet. Appreciate it :)

Took me a while to figure out that the feature wasn't workign as well--and
yes, I was annoyed that noone ever responded, lol. Many placers are putting
contact nfo at the bottom of their clues--something I really appreciate and
will do myself. I also make a note of hte inof if it is included in the
box.

*nods* Yes - I think that feature is still not functioning. I've
used it about a dozen times with no response. I will be thrilled
when that feature is back up and working.
